When can I sign up?
Any time! You can register for classes over the phone or in our office. In order to ensure space, please do so at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled session.
What days do you hold lessons?
Lessons are held Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What time are lessons offered?
Lessons are offered at 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, and 5:00pm. We offer additional lessons any half-hour from 9:00am-12:00pm during the summer as well.
How often can my child take swim lessons?
Our lessons are offered in three week sessions, either one or two times per week.
Do you offer make-ups?
In order to maintain the integrity of our classes we do not offer make-ups. Thank you for allowing us to offer the highest quality possible in teaching your children. If SwimAmerica cancels class, we will hold a make-up day usually on the Friday of the week that classes were cancelled. We DO NOT cancel for rain
What are my payment options?
Cash, check or credit card
How do I change my day or time?
You can change days or times by talking to our office. If you want to change your days and times before your session begins, and there is availability, we will have no problem switching your schedule. If you need to change your days and times during a session, availability may be limited.
What if my class has only one or two students?
If a group class has only one or two students, as always, we do reserve the right to consolidate that class.
What about teacher request?
Some of our students and many of our parents have become fond of particular teachers. We love our teachers and we will continue to make decisions regarding where teachers are placed based on our effort to provide the best swimming experience possible for everyone.
We are well aware that different students respond to different teaching personalities. We will always try to respond to these needs. We will NEVER guarantee a teacher and we will always reserve the right to change teachers if other considerations require it.
Do I need to change classes when my child changes levels?
We have all levels every half-hour, so you will keep your same day and time for each session.
What is your refund policy?
Due to class size and space limitation we have a “No Refund” policy for ANY reason. If you need to cancel or withdraw from a class we will keep your remaining balance on file for up to a year. If classes have not started we will refund your original amount.
What if I am registering multiple children?
We have all levels every half-hour, so your children will be able to be in the pool at the same time.
Do you offer private lessons?
We do offer private lessons! You can leave your name and number in our office and we will give it to an instructor and you will schedule the lessons with the instructor. Cost is $45 for 30min. (Please note: Private lessons must be accompanied by signup for group lessons.)
What if I want to take lessons more than one day a week?
Our sessions offer the option of 1-2 times per week for lessons.
What is the temperature of your pool?
We keep our pool heated to at least 88 degrees.
Is your facility indoor or outdoor?
Our facility is a year-round outdoor facility.
Does my child need any special equipment?
All we ask is that swimmers come to practice wearing a sensible swim suit. If your child has longer hair, we ask that it is pulled back or put up in a swim cap. Goggles are optional. Please remember to bring a towel!
Is there a place for parents to watch?
Our pool deck is very large and spacious and parents/family are more than welcome to come and observe swim lessons. Please bring a beach chair if you prefer to not sit in the grass. We ask that you do stay back from the pool while your child is in lessons. Our instructors are trained and it is very distracting to have parents sitting at the edge of the pool. We ask that you stay AT LEAST three feet from the edge of the pool. If a child becomes distracted by the parent on deck, we do ask that a parent leaves the deck and observe the class from a place that they cannot be seen. This will help the child bond with the instructor.
At what age can my child start swim lessons?
We begin group swim lessons at the age of 3. For infant and toddler classes, please check for current information here.
